CBKA Courses

We run an Introduction to Beekeeping course in the Spring.

This comprises eight 2.5 hour theory sessions, on Saturday mornings, followed by 2 practical sessions. New beekeepers who join the association will be allocated a mentor to help them in their first beekeeping year.

We also run a beekeeping Taster Day at the end of August. This aims to provide experience of handling bees and information on the costs, practicalities and time considerations involved. It is not designed to equip students to become beekeepers.
